Over-30-year Manassas tradition on the Friday before the Christmas parade. A holiday market opens at 4 p.m. in the train depot parking lot, musical performances start at 5:30 p.m., Santa arrives by train shortly after 6 p.m., and the tree lighting follows. Santa and Mrs. Claus greet kids at the Santa Tent afterward, with free wagon rides and the Harris Pavilion ice rink open for skating.
