Ascarium: Halloween at the New York Aquarium11am to 4pm, day 2 of 2, Oct 24 to 25602 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224The New York Aquarium's family-friendly fall festival brings marine-themed magic shows, Halloween crafts, Wildlife Theater shows, face painting and games to the plaza, alongside the aquarium's piranhas, wolf eels and spider crabs. New this year: the Sea of Illusions and Bubble Play. All Ascarium activities are included free with aquarium admission.
Halloween Harvest at Luna Park in Coney Island11am to 8pm, day 3 of 3, Oct 23 to 251000 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224Luna Park's annual fall celebration runs mid-September through November 1, with the park dressed up in pumpkins, hay bales and harvest decor. Halloween activities like pumpkin decorating, tractor racing, trick-or-treating, balloon artists and a Phantom Grounds walkthrough are included with a wristband, plus live entertainment on the Halloween Harvest stage and fall treats such as pumpkin-spiced funnel cake.
Art of Manga at the Brooklyn Museum11am to 6pm, day 5 of 5, Oct 21 to 25$30200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238East Coast debut of the first major Americas exhibition on manga as an art form, with more than 600 original drawings from ONE PIECE, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Inuyasha and more, plus a companion show on Japanese storytelling before manga. Timed tickets include general admission; cosplay encouraged.
