Dyker Heights Christmas Lights5 to 10pm, day 15 of 34, Nov 27 to Dec 30Free83rd Street and 12th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11228Brooklyn's most famous Christmas light display: homeowners across Dyker Heights, concentrated along 11th to 13th Avenues between 83rd and 86th Streets, light up elaborate decorations nightly from the day after Thanksgiving through December 30. Displays switch on around 5 pm and stay lit until at least 10 pm. Free, self-guided, and walkable; dress warmly and visit early in December for smaller crowds.

Each evening brings live music, hot latkes, and gifts for children. The first night opens with a kickoff concert; nightly lighting times vary (usually 6pm weeknights, earlier on Fridays), so check the Chabad schedule before going.
