Wristband holders get pumpkin decorating, face painting, balloon twisting, mini tractor races through hay bales, and trick-or-treating, plus pumpkin-spice funnel cake and other fall treats across the park.
Little Red Lighthouse Festival12 to 4pmFreeWest 181st Street & Plaza Lafayette, New York, NY 10033Celebrate Manhattan's only remaining lighthouse beneath the George Washington Bridge with the Urban Park Rangers. The free festival includes readings of the children's book, live music, a lighthouse musical and activities for all ages. Limited lighthouse tours run first come, first served with tickets distributed at noon.
Pumpkin Picking at Decker Farm12 to 5pm, day 1 of 2, Oct 3 to 4435 Richmond Hill Rd, Staten Island, NYPumpkin picking returns to NYC's oldest continuously working family farm on October weekends. The 11-acre Decker Farm offers a pumpkin patch, tractor hayrides, pumpkin chucking, pumpkin painting, and fall food from local vendors. Pumpkins priced by weight; separate tickets required for farm entry.
Mid-Autumn Festival at Gotham Park1 to 7pm, day 2 of 3, Oct 2 to 4Free1 Rose Street, New York, NY 10038Chinatown and Gotham Park host three days of food, art, music and more than 100 community-painted lanterns under the Brooklyn Bridge. Expect Chinatown food and retail vendors, all-ages activities and festive performances each afternoon. Free and open to all.
NYBG Día de los MuertosAll day, day 1 of 31, Oct 3 to Nov 22900 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY 10458NYBG's inaugural month-long Día de los Muertos celebration fills the garden with marigolds, a community ofrenda, calaveras, and a giant Catrina sculpture. Weekends bring folk music, MAZarte dance performances, and hands-on papel picado and silk flower workshops, closing with a parade and dance party on November 1.

Witches Paddle4:45pm63 Pilot Street, Bronx, NY 10464Costumed paddlers take to the water off City Island for Buoy Up City Island's annual Witches Paddle, launching from City Island Yacht Club at 4:45pm. Spectators can watch the flotilla of witches and warlocks from the shore.

The 2026 grand marshal is Ray Dalio, and this edition honors 250 years of Italian contribution to America.

Food Network New York City Wine & Food FestivalAll day, day 1 of 4, Oct 15 to 1889 South Street, New York, NY 10038Four days, nearly 50 events and more than 300 chefs at the Seaport, with the Rooftop at Pier 17 newly in the festival footprint. Signature events include the Blue Moon Burger Bash, Oyster Bash, Grand Tasting walk-arounds, Tacos and Tequila and New York After Dark. Net proceeds support the Event Zero Foundation and the James Beard Foundation.
