TCS New York City Marathon9:40amFreeCentral Park, New York, NY 10023The 2026 TCS New York City Marathon marks the 50th anniversary of the five-borough course, with nearly 60,000 runners and more than two million spectators. In Manhattan, the best free viewing is along First Avenue, Fifth Avenue's Museum Mile and the Central Park finish. Most of the course from mile 3 to 26 is open to spectators.

This year's design honors America's 250th anniversary with the torch of the Statue of Liberty. A Stalk Talk orients you before you hunt for clues and solve puzzles on the way to Victory Bridge. NYBG Día de los MuertosAll day, day 30 of 31, Oct 3 to Nov 22900 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY 10458NYBG's inaugural month-long Día de los Muertos celebration fills the garden with marigolds, a community ofrenda, calaveras, and a giant Catrina sculpture. Weekends bring folk music, MAZarte dance performances, and hands-on papel picado and silk flower workshops, closing with a parade and dance party on November 1.
