Dogs, cats, lizards, bunnies, and more compete for prizes in creative categories while spectators cheer. Registration starts at 10:30 am; the parade steps off around 11:00 am.
King Richard's Faire10:30am to 6pm, day 1 of 3, Oct 10 to 125 Pine Street, Carver, MA 02330New England's long-running Renaissance festival returns for eight fall weekends on the pine grounds in Carver, with jousting, live stage shows, themed weekends, artisan crafts, games of skill and turkey legs. Final 2026 days are the Fest-Evil finale on October 24 and 25, with trick or treat and a costume parade. Admission is tiered by date: early October adults $40 and kids $24, rising to $46 and $26 closer to Halloween; children under 4 are free. Parking is free.

Festival 202612 to 11pm, day 2 of 3, Oct 9 to 11Free1 Davis Square, Somerville, MA 02144Three days of free outdoor street music as 35 activist brass bands from across the country take over Davis Square and surrounding Somerville neighborhoods. Friday and Saturday bring street concerts and dancing; Sunday closes with a brass parade down Mass Avenue to Harvard Square, arriving in time for Oktoberfest.
Oysters & Art Shuckfest 20261 to 5pm$43.92189 Alden Street, Duxbury, MA 02332Duxbury Oyster Company and the Art Complex Museum host the 2026 Shuckfest, a one-day celebration of Duxbury oysters with raw bars, local chefs, craft beverages, live music and an art market. A kids corner runs all afternoon with free admission for children under 10. Tickets are $43.92 including fees. The event was moved from late September to October 10 because of the September nor'easter.

Thousands of hand-carved glowing jack-o'-lanterns line woodland trails alongside an eerie graveyard, a haunted pirate ship, stylish scarecrows, and larger-than-life displays, with hot cider and baked goods at the end. Timed entry; advance tickets required. Closed Monday, Tuesday, and Oct 7; extra day Tuesday Oct 27.
Hysteria at Connors Farm6:30 to 11pm, day 2 of 3, Oct 9 to 1130 Valley Road, Danvers, MA 01923Danvers farm's haunted Halloween attraction on select October nights. Wander the Haunted Fields, a nighttime trail populated by eerie beings and scary sights, or brave the Flashlight Maze, a corn maze navigated by flashlight in the dark. Gates open at 6:30 pm; the haunting runs about 7 to 11 pm.
